In this section of The Dove Cote of Our Lady I will be
collecting my favorite images in which Mary was seen as our spiritual mother tenderly leading all to her Divine Son.
Tending to her nestlings, drawing close to those in need of comfort, encouraging reception of the Eucharist, or delighting in the affection of her devoted children, Mary was, in all circumstances, portrayed as the beloved mother of the doves.
The lacework and the hand engraving above are both full of extrordinary detail. Click on the image to see more clearly the work of the artist who wanted Our Lady to draw us, as she draws the little doves, to come near and receive the Bread of Angels from the hand of her Son.
